Will my insurance cover these sessions?

I am an approved Medavie Blue Cross Provider and direct billing is offered through Blue Cross.  Any balance not covered by your plan will be charged to a credit card securely stored on your account.

For other insurance plans, a detailed receipt will be provided after full payment, which you can then submit to your insurance provider for applicable coverage.   It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider, prior to your first session, to confirm coverage of clinical social work services.

What is the cost?

The fee is $175 per session (50 minutes).

Therapy is considered a health service and therefore, is tax exempt.

Clinical services provided by registered social workers can be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on individual circumstances and personal goals.  Some clients may benefit from only a few sessions, while others prefer more.  The length of your therapeutic journey is up to you; it can end or continue for as long as you wish.

Clients often say that they initially feel like a weight has been lifted as a result of finally sharing what has been troubling them for so long.  It is not uncommon to find that as therapy progresses, you will experience changes in all aspects of your life.

What about confidentiality?

Confidentiality is maintained unless certain circumstances arise including suspected child abuse or abuse of a vulnerable person; if you are in imminent danger of harming yourself or someone else; or in the case of court involvement.  Limits of confidentiality will be discussed during the initial session and are outlined in the Confidentiality and Consent Form. â€‹â€‹
